We are seeking a talented, highly motivated individual to join our Asia Pacific Gas and Global LNG team. The successful candidate will work with our high-powered Global Gas teams across Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, New Delhi, London and New York. 
You’re one of those people who have a passion for the energy and commodity markets, and you want to be at the edge of change in this exciting industry. You naturally form original opinions, and you have a great ability to communicate your insights effectively. You have strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills, along with a particular aptitude for understanding the complexity of traded markets and intricate policy frameworks.

We'll trust you to:
  • Conduct research and analysis on Japan and South Korea LNG supply and demand dynamics by examining drivers such as weather, prices, competing fuel dynamics, procurement contracts, policy, infrastructure developments, company strategies and so on
  • Develop and maintain datasets and tools pertaining to Japan and South Korea gas/LNG fundamentals and global LNG markets
  • Contribute regularly to global LNG and Asia Pacific gas publications, such as market outlooks, seasonal balances and monthly forecasts
  • Produce quick, reactive pieces to gas/LNG markets developments and produce strategic insights into key industry trends
  • Effectively communicate views and findings through frequent written reports and articles
  • Work with and support coordination of material across various global gas teams at BNEF to develop views on global gas

You'll need to have:
  • 1-3 years of work experience in a similar field, or a degree in a relatable subject
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Business level proficiency in Japanese and/or Korean language
  • Able to gather, process and analyze large datasets

We'd love to see:
  • Experience in doing analysis of gas and LNG markets
  • Existing knowledge of the Japanese or South Korean energy landscape
  • Experience with developing gas demand forecasts and modeling
  • Python coding skills
