What’s In It For You:

The Chief of Staff to the Head of CTO Infrastructure, like any leadership role, requires wearing many hats. You bring your technical background to help the CTO Infrastructure team to facilitate conflict resolution, deal with major strategic challenges, and jump in to represent leadership when they’re unavailable.


The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is able to provide strategic thought leadership and lead projects with limited guidance. You must have a high level of attention to detail and given a high-level goal you can direct a team of senior leaders to develop a strategy and execute on it. Your communication skills are polished and top-notch: whether it’s distilling information into slides, writing memos, getting in front of an audience, or 1-on-1 with a senior leader. You relish the opportunity to have an impact on both strategic and tactical initiatives. You are a systems thinker, making sure past lessons inform future outcomes, and trying to help a high-powered technology leadership team see around corners ahead.


In this role you’ll need to be proactive, detail-oriented and able to adapt to a highly evolving political environment. You’ll need to create processes where they are  needed and help break down silos between teams within a newly formed department. You’ll partner to build the trust of leaders within the team, and stakeholders across the company.

We will trust you to:

  • Be the right-hand person and trusted advisor and strategic partner for the head of CTO Infrastructure, including representing their interests and their positions in various forums. 

  • Act as the trusted delegate of the head of CTO Infrastructure, ensuring that departmental operations move smoothly whether or not they are present, and provide leadership and direction within the team as needed.

  • Identify opportunities to improve how the department operates, and develop and help drive strategic initiatives to improve the department.

  • Build a strong partnership with administrative and operations members of the team, working with them to coordinate and support leadership.

  • Manage the success of communication pipelines, partnering with stakeholders and leadership across the company to promote the departmental strategy and outcomes.


You'll need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical strategic leadership role working directly with senior leaders, understanding communication styles.

  • Experience in an engineering role. 

  • Experience operating through influence, direct people management experience is a plus.

  • A consistent track record of successfully managing multiple priorities in a rapidly changing work environment, not losing sight of the details

  • Comfort working independently, taking basic direction and goals and developing clear strategy and vision

  • Demonstrated polished written and oral communication skills, in a variety of circumstances (from presenting to audiences through to 1:1 communication), capable of preparing content to support leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in a technology company. 


We’d love to see:

  • Experience with both strategic infrastructure technology development and lifecycle as well as operating infrastructure

  • Self-starter, entrepreneurial, able to find innovative solutions to problems

  • Information security experience, especially exposure to operational programs

  • Prior experience as a chief of staff in a multi-layered, functional organization.

Salary Range = 110000 - 210000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
