Bloomberg is looking for an Earnings Specialist with a deep understanding of the latest technology used by newsrooms, leveraging artificial intelligence tools to process and deliver earnings news and analytics – quickly and accurately.
The Role:

Are you exhilarated by the intensity of earnings season, with all its shocks and surprises? Do you want to be at the forefront of the next frontier in developing and using large language models that will power newsrooms in the future.
If so, come join the Breaking News Tools/Earnings Hub as we expand the breadth and depth of our earnings coverage. Armed with our latest technology and extensive preparation, you'll ensure we're providing the best possible package for readers across the entirety of the earnings news flow. You'll contribute to coverage of a large and diverse set of companies, from the preview to the moment of release all the way through to the market reaction and analysis. We want to dive deeper into company segments, utilize estimates comparisons to provide instant context, mine conference calls for interesting commentary and advanced technology to sift through large volumes of information and make sense of it. Markets will rise and fall based on your reporting. We'll want you to write value-add stories, short and long, with a focus on mid-cap companies. You'll own coverage of certain companies and beats, where you'll be expected to know them well, regularly interview C-suite executives and generate exclusive content.
We'll trust you to:
- Ensure our earnings coverage is complete from start to finish and contains market-moving data and context
- Look for ways to bring our coverage to the next level using the latest technology
- Leverage artificial intelligence tools to enhance our editorial output
- Work with extraction teams on opportunities to automate coverage
- Stay on top of major stories and trends that matter to market participants
- Mine earnings statements for key financial data in real time and look for opportunities for further coverage
- Work across departments outside of News to ensure we have the right data and context
- Collaborate with other teams within News including Breaking News, Global Business and Markets teams
You need to have:
- Experience working in a real-time news environment
- Experience in financial or business news
- An understanding of company financials
- Be adept at working with large language models and various AI tools
- Willingness to learn and work with machine learning and processing systems
- Levelheadedness for solving problems quickly and confidently in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication skills
- An all-hands-on deck, team-player mentality and a constructive, flexible, and reliable attitude
Salary Range = 80000 - 95000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
