The Global Majors Sales team manages the overall relationship for Tier 1 banks as well as Buy-side Asset Managers, Custody and Security Services firms. This market segment not only represents the largest product penetration within the Enterprise Data Solutions division but also exhibits fast-paced high growth potential that rivals emerging market clients. The impetus behind our tremendous growth trend is the overwhelming demand for high quality content and the next generation of technology deployment. With the proliferation of trends such as Data Science, Cloud Computing, and Sustainability within the financial services industry, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an established yet dynamic and growing part of our organization!

You will support strategic sales engagements and overall account management while also owning proactive sales engagements and retention of our reference, regulatory, and real-time market data, pricing evaluation, and technology suite of offerings. This includes, but is not limited to, our security master datasets, company level content, ESG and sustainable investing datasets, evaluated pricing, real-time market data, historical data and analytics. You will also be involved with selling technology solutions that enable Bloomberg content and services to be delivered to clients' on-premise applications, and/or cloud warehouse tenants.

To be successful, you will have a proven track record of institutional selling, experience with respect to managing senior relationships at major financial conglomerates, collaboration with multiple internal departments, proficiency in data and technology within the IB, IM and Asset Servicing workflow, and staying on top of evolving market trends. In addition, we are looking for someone who excels in a team environment and will be able to perform at the highest level under tight timelines, and achieve sales targets.

We'll trust you to:
  • Contribute towards setting and executing on sales strategies to help drive annual sales and revenue targets for a set of Tier 1 firms
  • Manage the enterprise sales engagement smoothly from beginning to end
  • Leverage market, product and technical expertise to identify client needs
  • Acquire and maintain a good understanding of your clients’ regulatory obligations and how Enterprise Data could work in partnership to help meet them
  • Produce clear, concise proposals with an appropriate level of detail that identify client needs, current workflows, proposed solutions and commercials
  • Establish and execute a pipeline target market strategy for achieving sales targets through the appropriate stages of the sales cycle within your assigned client base
  • Build relationships across client organizations to ensure that all stakeholders are managed appropriately as part of the sales process
  • Balance engagements across the sales life-cycle to maintain desired pipeline levels for long, medium, and short-term sales

You'll need to have:
  • An understanding of customers' technology stack, workflows, and internal structure
  • The ability to leverage product and domain knowledge to build and maintain credibility with clients, identify gaps and recommend solutions
  • Experience in sales where you have met or exceeded demanding targets (revenue-generating and adoption/usage goals)
  • Consultative and solution sales skills
  • A competent grasp on the regulatory landscape of both buy side and sell side firms
  • A solid understanding of the flow and use of real time and reference data around financial institutions
  • The desire to continually learn and add new technical and selling skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English
