What's the team? 
Bloomberg Trade Order Management System (TOMS) is a multi-asset class workflow solution. TOMS suite delivers tools for trade capture, inventory and risk management, electronic order flow, regulatory reporting and compliance. Our clients can use a variety of integration tools to achieve straight-through processing and reduce operational risk. Front, middle, and back-office operations benefit from a full range of solutions for cash and derivatives instruments including electronic trading, allocations management, tools for all compliance needs and pre-integration to multiple third-party back offices. 
  
What's the role? 
An exciting opportunity has come to lead the TOMS Sales team in Tokyo. In this role, you’ll be ready to lead a well-organized, collaborative team with a consultative approach. 
  
As the team leader, acting as a player/coach, you will bring significant market knowledge, the skills to develop a team of sales reps and a vision to build successful strategies that capitalize on the opportunities in front of us.

We’ll trust you to concentrate on the below 4 key areas:

Business Growth & Execution:

  • Define and communicate a clear sales strategy and vision based on market needs and industry developments
  • Deliver on strategy and identify new ways of adding value, improving commercial performance or delivering service
  • Take overall ownership for revenue generation, including pipeline management, identifying new business opportunities and building strategic partnerships
  • Communicate regional, department and firm vision

Market & Product expertise:

  • Strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape, our Sell Side Trading Solutions and how our clients are and will be consuming these products
  • Influence Product Development to best meet and exceed our clients expectations

Relationship Building:

  • Collaborate with wider specialist Enterprise Sales teams to promote and achieve firm wide revenue targets for the region
  • Develop and maintain prospects and key customer relationships
  • Ability to influence and drive accountability across the team

Leadership & Talent Management:

  • Develop each team member through mentoring, coaching and constructive feedback to support and build for a successful career at Bloomberg
  • Promote diversity and create an inclusive environment for the team
  • Motivate reps to perform at the peak of their potential and build team spirit in order to achieve results
  • Set expectations and hold team members accountable by giving clear, constructive and actionable feedback

You’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 8 years experience working within financial technology data companies
  • Experience in client facing roles within the past 3 years
  • Demonstrable experience mentoring and developing teams to achieve sales targets and a record developing sales reps careers
  • A motivation to lead, mentor and develop sales teams to achieve and outperform
  • Proven track record in building and maintaining senior client relationships with institutional clients, within the financial services industry
  • The ability to spot trends, new opportunities and establish credibility with our clients by understanding their business and workflows
  • Demonstrated success selling enterprise level software, trading systems or risk management systems
  • Extensive knowledge of commercials and licensing terms, and an understanding of operational and technical infrastructure of financial firms
  • Consultative and solution base sales skills, coupled with an inclusive and supportive leadership philosophy
  • A commitment to building diverse and inclusive teams
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English and Japanese
  • Ability to travel, particularly across the Asia region
