Description & Requirements
Enterprise Technology Services Specialist (Buy-Side)
Bloomberg delivers critical information in a world where information matters. We empower decision makers across business, finance, and government by connecting them to a dynamic network of news, data, and ideas. At Bloomberg, you will be encouraged to take ownership, think creatively, and push beyond what’s possible.
As capital markets evolve, buy-side and sell-side firms increasingly rely on automation across asset classes through secure and scalable integrations. To support this growing demand, Bloomberg’s Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) team is expanding.
ETS designs, delivers, and supports connectivity solutions that power some of Bloomberg’s most critical enterprise workflows. We ensure the stability and reliability of client integrations while also building custom and managed solutions tailored to complex business needs.
Financial institutions depend on interconnected systems to execute trades, manage risk, monitor P&L, and support post-trade processes. Integrating these systems efficiently and accurately is complex and resource intensive. Our team helps clients simplify that complexity - providing the tools, services, and capital markets expertise needed to reduce costs, accelerate time to market, and improve operational transparency.
What's the role?
As part of the Enterprise Technology Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability, reliability, and performance of Bloomberg’s Buy Side OMS related solutions within our clients’ production environments. Acting as a trusted technical partner, you will support asset managers, hedge funds, and other buy side institutions across their post implementation lifecycle through ongoing production support.
This is a highly client facing role focused on OMS workflow integrations between Bloomberg and external client systems. You will provide hands-on technical application support for ETL workflows, custom integrations, and real time connectivity across technologies such as FIX, SWIFT, XML, SFTP, MQ, and Web APIs. You will work directly with clients who build against Bloomberg specifications or custom solutions and rely on seamless order/trade lifecycle processing, position management, and downstream data flows.
With OMS knowledge, you will take ownership of production issues, proactively mitigate operational and financial risk, and ensure critical trading and post-trade workflows remain stable and efficient. You will serve as a subject matter expert for buy side integrations, troubleshooting technical challenges while identifying opportunities to enhance performance and prevent incidents.
Internally, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Solutions Architecture, and Account Management teams, translating client feedback and market needs into product improvements and workflow enhancements. Your work will directly contribute to strengthening client partnerships and driving continuous improvement across Bloomberg’s buy side technology ecosystem.
