The role:
We’re seeking a highly motivated Head of Paid Media and Marketing Technology to join our Consumer Marketing & Growth team, which is charged with leading marketing across the Bloomberg Media portfolio of brands, including Bloomberg.com, Bloomberg video and audio channels, live experiences and more. In this role, you will be responsible for full-funnel paid media strategy in service of driving brand awareness, content/product engagement and subscriber acquisition. You will own our media agency relationships and paid media budget, thoughtfully deploying it to balance long-term business growth with immediate acquisition objectives. You’ll partner closely with our BI and data engineering teams to ensure we have the right systems and tools in place to measure the impact of paid channels, and also be adept at analyzing performance metrics, developing actionable plans to optimize channels and budgets in response to those metrics, and synthesizing learnings for key stakeholders and leadership. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable structuring new processes and systems, obtaining buy-in from multiple stakeholders, and working both independently and cross-functionally to drive measurable business results.
We’ll trust you to:
Manage full-funnel paid media program, including brand marketing, engagement marketing and acquisition marketing, and set the bar on consistently analyzing and optimizing performance.
Manage the media and martech team.
Manage media agency and ad platform partnerships.
Manage marketing budget to cost-effectively drive Bloomberg.com subscriptions (Consumer and Enterprise), and possess a thorough understanding of subscription economics (CAC, LTV, etc.) and the levers we have to impact that.
Develop international campaign and investment strategy across priority markets
Manage full-funnel media reporting, including performance updates to executive leadership
Own management and development of the paid media MarTech stack (CDP, MMM, MMP)
Oversee paid media for strategic business initiatives, such as Bloomberg Live Experiences ticket sales.
Partner closely with heads of Brand Marketing and Owned Media as part of the Consumer Marketing and Growth Leadership Team.
Partner closely with product team and GM of Subscriptions to drive subscriber acquisition
Partner with BI and Analytics to brief our data team to get the reporting which will give you needed performance insights, as well as conduct analysis yourself.
Develop and drive alignment on paid media measurement framework across business KPIs, as well as media analytics roadmap.
Partner with Insights team on utilizing audience segmentation to refine messaging and offers
Own contracting and internal vendor approval process, with Legal and Procurement teams.
You’ll need to have:
10-15 years of experience
Experience managing a high-performing team
Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
A relentless drive to analyze and optimize media performance to drive KPIs – also demonstrated ability to find insights within reporting and clearly communicate those insights and opportunities to action on them to stakeholders
Experience utilizing a CDP and MMM solution, as well as a high degree of comfort with GA4
Ability to both manage strategy and dive deep into the details
Tight-knit collaboration skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills; AbilityPartner management experience
Strong project management and organization
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A passion for the news and media

Salary Range = 155000 - 210000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
