Description & Requirements

The energy of a newsroom, the pace of a trading floor, the buzz of a recent tech breakthrough; we work hard, and we work fast - while keeping up the quality and accuracy we're known for. It's what keeps us inventing and reinventing, all the time. Our culture is wide open, just like our spaces. We bring out the best in each other through collaboration. Through our countless volunteer projects, we also help network with the communities around us, too. You can do amazing work here. Work you couldn't do anywhere else. It's up to you to make it happen.
At Bloomberg, we are passionate about hiring dynamic and innovative individuals to build out our rapidly growing business. We operate in a high pressure, fast paced environment, and are dedicated to hiring the best people for our teams. Our Early Careers Talent Acquisitions Team is looking for a Recruiter to join our London team, to help expand our business by identifying, attracting and hiring top talent.

You will be essential to the Early Careers Talent Acquisitions team covering our Apprenticeship offering. You will take ownership of your recruitment focus and develop strategic plans for execution. You will need to thrive in a rapidly changing environment and develop creative strategies to attract and hire the best talent into the organisation. You will need to be energetic, collaborative, and strategic, and bring the highest quality candidates into our business.

Our team:

We are a passionate and collaborative team, and we recruit across multiple business areas including Analytics and Sales, Data, Customer Support, News and Corporate Functions. We partner closely with our businesses to develop a deep understanding of their objectives, products, people, and challenges, in order to present the best skilled candidates. We bring creative ideas, curiosity and insight to the table, backed up with market knowledge and a data-driven approach. The team sits within the wider Early Careers Business Recruitment that hires all year round. We are not your typical apprentice recruitment team so creativity is our strongest asset.

We'll trust you to:

  • Foster relationships with hiring managers, understand their business needs, and collaborate with them to offer strategic recruitment guidance
  • Think creatively to develop sourcing strategies to promote the apprenticeship opportunities to respective learners
  • Ensure a smooth, smart, innovative and engaging recruiting process to establish an outstanding candidate experience
  • Manage and execute on the full recruitment life-cycle, from reviewing resumes to closing candidates, in a high volume and complex recruitment environment
  • Help build our employer brand virtually and in person by building and delivering bespoke events
  • Partner with our internal Inclusion team and external organisations to improve and enhance recruitment strategy and attraction
  • Support the development of our interviewers through training and coaching
  • Stay in tune with external market factors affecting our business areas, identify new practices/trends, and leverage data to improve recruitment processes
  • Team up with HR Business Partners, Talent Development, Employee Relations, and other colleagues to support new and existing apprentices throughout the length of their qualification
  • Coach, mentor and support both the apprentices and their managers through 1:1 conversations and attend formal evaluations
  • Manage relationships with professional bodies, training and apprenticeship providers, creating the right in-house support frameworks than enable learners to fully participate and achieve success in their qualifications
  • Lead the Apprenticeships function end-to-end operational delivery, learner and employer support, quality and curriculum while driving long-term growth.

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum 5 years* of experience in running an Apprenticeships function at a similar scale
  • Experience in managing an Apprenticeship programme in a large organisation
  • You’ve successfully delivered change and improvement programmes within Apprenticeships, with measurable outcomes.
  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation, presentation and project management skills

  • An ability to adjust to changing workflows and demands
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills, a consultative approach and the ability to influence
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle a high volume (60+ roles filled per year), juggle various projects, and be efficient with your workflow
  • Flexibility to travel (this will be required during peak seasons)
