Through our countless volunteer projects, we also help network with the communities around us, too. You can do amazing work here. Work you couldn't do anywhere else. It's up to you to make it happen.

What’s the role?

People are Bloomberg’s most critical asset — and this is reflected in our approach to benefits. We continually innovate to provide programs that meet the diverse needs of our employees and their families.
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Senior Benefits Specialist to join our Americas Benefits team. Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and supporting more than 15,000 employees across 10+ countries, you'll play a key role in shaping and evolving the strategy, implementation, and ongoing management of our Americas benefits programs, helping to deliver plan enhancements that improve the employee experience and supporting business objectives.

What You’ll Do
As the LATAM benefits specialist within the broader Americas Benefits team, you will support benefit programs across Latin America while partnering closely with colleagues responsible for the U.S. and Canada. This role will serve as the LATAM subject matter expert for several benefit portfolios, including Health & Welfare (medical, pharmacy, dental, vision and wellness), Retirement, Leave & Disability, and Work/Life programs. You will oversee plan administration, lead policy analysis, and partner closely with colleagues across HR, Payroll, Finance, Procurement, Legal, and Benefits Operations to ensure our programs remain competitive, compliant, operationally efficient, and aligned with employee needs.

You'll also contribute to the broader Americas benefits strategy by identifying opportunities for innovation, managing vendor relationships, analyzing market trends, and helping employees navigate an evolving benefits landscape through effective communication and education. Success in this role will require strong analytical and project management skills, financial acumen, and exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
As part of the broader Global Benefits team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across EMEA and APAC on global initiatives impacting more than 24,000 employees in over 70 countries.

We'll trust you to:

• Own the end-to-end strategy, design, delivery, implementation and continuous improvement of assigned Americas benefit programs, including Health & Welfare, Retirement, statutory Leave & Disability, and Work/Life programs
• Partner with stakeholders, consultants and brokers to evaluate plan performance, benchmark market practices, model financial impacts and develop strategic recommendations
• Lead the implementation and ongoing administration of new and existing benefit plans, policies and programs, ensuring effective project governance, operational excellence and a seamless employee experience
• Develop and manage regional benefits budgets and forecasts, monitoring expenditures and identifying opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining competitive benefit offerings
• Monitor benefit utilization, employee feedback, claims experience, vendor performance and operational metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
• Maintain strong governance, risk management and compliance practices by ensuring adherence to internal controls, legislative requirements and corporate policies
• Partner with Procurement on vendor selection, contract negotiations and renewals, and collaborate closely with Benefits Operations, Payroll, Finance and Legal to resolve complex benefit issues and ensure operational excellence
• Serve as the regional subject matter expert and escalation point for complex employee benefit inquiries, policy interpretation and regulatory guidance
• Stay current on legislative developments, collective bargaining agreements, emerging market trends and industry best practices, incorporating insights into program design and administration
• Partner with regional HR teams and business leaders across LATAM to understand evolving market practices, legislative requirements and employee needs
• Lead employee communications and education initiatives, partnering with Internal Communications to increase awareness, understanding and adoption of benefit programs
• Manage relationships with benefit vendors, consultants and brokers, including retirement plan administration, performance management and service delivery
• Conduct operational reviews and audits to strengthen governance, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and the employee experience

You'll need to have:

• 10+ years of benefits administration and advisory experience, including at least 3–4 years in a corporate setting
• Deep expertise supporting employee benefit programs across multiple LATAM countries, including benefit strategy, vendor management, regulatory compliance and change management
• Experience managing benefit consultants, brokers and vendors, including vendor governance, contract management, budgeting and cost optimization
• Demonstrated ability to analyze benefit utilization, financial data and market trends to develop strategic, data-driven recommendations
• Strong project management, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence partners across HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal and external vendors
• Sound judgment, resilience and adaptability when navigating evolving regulations, changing business priorities and complex employee matters
• A strong customer service mindset with a collaborative, “can-do” approach
• Fluency in English and Portuguese, with professional proficiency in Spanish, is highly desirable

We'd love to see:

• Experience supporting benefit programs across multiple LATAM countries within a large, multinational organization
• Experience managing or enhancing benefit programs within large, complex, multinational organizations
• Experience working with multinational or regional benefit vendors, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, implementation and ongoing performance management
