Description & Requirements

You're the type of person who is comfortable in a dynamic environment and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves to tackle projects both big and small. You naturally bring energy and passion to everything you do.

In the Bloomberg Latin America Indirect Tax Team, we handle a variety of activities related to statutory taxes, monthly closings, tax filings, and the interaction with internal and external partners. We also support internal and external audits, participate in projects, and continually expand knowledge of LATAM tax requirements and statutory demands.

Do you want to learn more about indirect tax calculations such as Value Added Tax (VAT), ICMS, IPI, and PIS/COFINS, as well as withholding taxes across Latin American countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and other Central American nations)? This opportunity offers exposure to country-specific indirect taxes, tax reconciliations, ERP (SAP) clearings, and the resolution of aging items.

We are looking for a student who is open to learning all of these topics and is curious about tax filings, organizational charts, tax calendars, foreign tax certifications, and the upcoming Brazilian Tax Reform.

We will trust you to:
- Learn and support the indirect tax monthly close.
- Collaborate with the team to prepare tax fillings.
- Learn and assist with all aspects of daily tasks for LATAM.

You'll need to have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- The ability to work as a team member and to handle challenging priorities in dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English.
- The ability to work 6 hours per day for the 1.5-2 years while in Accounting Bachelor or Business Administration Degree in São Paulo.

We would love to see:
- SAP and Oracle ERP knowledge is a plus.

What's it Like To Work Here?

We work hard. We are ambitious and set ourselves tough business goals. We are a meritocracy where everyone has a voice - not a job title. Working with people you trust, respect, and can collaborate with is more important than titles or position. Things move fast, and we want people who will enjoy working in this environment and feed off the energy. But it isn’t all about work. Giving back is one of our core values, and there are many ways to get involved in philanthropic initiatives from helping local school kids with their reading to helping clean up local parks and waterways.
