Bloomberg is seeking a talented editor to help elevate our coverage of Latin America, in all its vibrancy and complexity. This job will require working with a wide range of reporters across the region on topics including business and finance, economics, politics, commodities, technology and much more. We are looking for a sharp writer who is comfortable working with experienced reporters and new talent, with various levels of proficiency in English, to draw out the color and nuance needed to make our stories come to life. This role will be weighted toward enterprise and features editing, though the right candidate will also be adept at editing copy quickly in breaking news situations.

The job will report to the regional manager for Latin America, working across beat teams with reporters from Mexico to Argentina.

You will need to:

• Edit short-term and long-term enterprise, along with quick-turn analyses and breaking news, for an international audience.
• Be capable of working in different storytelling formats, including digital, social media, and multimedia platforms.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in business, economic, or political reporting, preferably with a focus on investment and policy.
• Strong track record of breaking news and delivering in-depth analytical pieces.
• Experience covering Latin America isn't a requirement but would be helpful.
• Fluency in English. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while delivering accurate, high-quality reporting.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with teams across different locations and disciplines.
