Our Portfolio & Risk Analytics (PORT Enterprise) solution helps portfolio and risk managers achieve performance and risk objectives by providing unmatched transparency into each portfolio’s historical attribution, characteristics, and ex-ante risk. From one centralized location, our series of powerful, integrated multi-asset tools deliver consistent and detailed insight into the client’s portfolio. Utilizing this service enables our enterprise clients to create and execute differentiating investment strategies accordingly.
What’s the role?
As part of the PORT Enterprise Support team based in San Francisco, you will work in a client-facing role supporting sophisticated buy-side institutions. You will partner directly with portfolio managers, risk and performance analysts, and middle- and back-office professionals to ensure they maximize value from Bloomberg’s Portfolio & Risk Analytics solution. A strong understanding of financial markets, portfolio construction, performance attribution, portfolio risk and tracking error, and asset class analytics is essential.
You will support our largest buy-side PORT Enterprise clients with complex analytical questions related to portfolio performance, security analytics, risk analysis, and workflow configuration. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, clear communication, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior investment professionals, ensuring operational stability and long-term satisfaction with our platform.
We’ll trust you to:
Build a comprehensive understanding of the features and capabilities of our portfolio product offering, through training and on-the-job learning, in order to manage client queries quickly and efficiently
Troubleshoot issues pertaining to the PORT Enterprise product, while assessing any potential business and/or operational impact
Understand and support clients on methodologies inquiries around portfolio performance, attribution, and risk
Identify gaps and opportunities to introduce best practices and new processes to enhance efficiency and improve on existing processes
Collaborate extensively with our Portfolio Implementation, Portfolio Sales, and Portfolio Engineering teams to improve our clients' experience and overall performance of our technology
Foster excellent relationships with key PORT Enterprise clients to improve their overall experience in using the product
Manage client expectations through timely and effective communications during systemic issues or escalations
Raise issues and liaise with Product and Engineering for enhancements or any other remediation requested by clients
You’ll need to have:
Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or a financial technology company
Experience of Fixed Income and other financial instruments, associated cash-flows, and analytics
Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail with strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and provide solutions
Ambition to take ownership and responsibility of issues and handle them effectively through to resolution
The inclination and aptitude to pick up new technologies and procedures
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, to drive and implement ideas in a changing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft applications – Excel (Advanced), PowerPoint, and Word
Strong presentation and communication skills
Demonstrated career progression and ownership within prior roles
Bachelor’s degree or degree equivalent qualifications
We’d love to see:
Understanding of workflows used by portfolio managers, risk and attribution specialists, and the ability to build and understand complex workflow solutions
Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Visio, and experience with Bloomberg products
Business proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or other languages, as this role will support clients who speak a diverse range of languages
Professional certification such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent qualifications demonstrating strong foundations in performance and risk concepts
Familiarity with APIs, data structures, or programming concepts (i.e. Python) and an interest in emerging technologies such as AI to improve workflows and internal tools
