Bloomberg has a rare opportunity for an experienced, driven Producer to lead our live afternoon programming from New York. This full-time role is central to shaping several hours of daily live coverage, setting the editorial vision, and delivering compelling, high-impact news for a global audience.
As Producer, you will own the show from concept to execution — booking newsmakers, selecting stories, writing scripts, line-producing, and directing live broadcasts from the control room. You will set the editorial agenda, guide on-air talent, and ensure seamless execution across video, audio, and digital platforms.
We’re looking for a creative, decisive newsroom leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and brings sharp editorial judgment, meticulous attention to detail, and strong multitasking skills.
We’ll trust you to:
- Lead the production of a daily live news program with a global perspective

- Identify, secure, and book high-profile guests and key newsmakers
- Line-produce three hours of live daily programming
- Direct anchors, producers, and technical teams from the control room
- Collaborate closely with reporters and teams across the newsroom
- Drive social media strategy to amplify live and on-demand video and audio content
You’ll need to have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of broadcast and/or live multimedia news production experience
- Live TV or radio control room experience
- Strong editorial judgment and advanced production skills
- Experience directing on-air talent
- Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with newsroom systems and strong technical agility (Windows-based environments)
- The ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Flexibility to adjust working hours as business needs require
