Bloomberg LP has built a significant Media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the Media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations from Originals to New Economy.

Bloomberg TV is looking for an experienced and versatile freelance producer to join our team in Brussels. The role is focused on our early morning live news shows, primarily Bloomberg Daybreak Europe. This is a hands-on, all-round production role requiring excellent editorial judgement, strong technical awareness, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced live news environment.

You must have proven skills in TV news production including writing, crafting graphics/videos, and handling breaking news and top level guests. Part of the role includes supporting our on-air talent, including technical and studio checks.

We'll trust you to:

  • Work closely with the show production teams on live and pre-recorded TV output
  • Write scripts, commission graphics and produce other visual elements to support storytelling
  • Conduct technical checks before broadcasts, resolve issues quickly
  • Greet and mic-up TV guests coming in for studio interviews
  • Produce content that can be used across Bloomberg's media platforms
  • Take direction from the senior and line producers, and complete tasks with minimal supervision

You'll need to have:

  • At least three years experience in a similar role
  • Organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Problem solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • An ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Flexibility to work early mornings
  • A good grasp of financial markets and Bloomberg's core coverage areas is strongly preferred
