Description & Requirements

At Bloomberg Enterprise Data, we are fast-paced, innovative, and expanding! Our deep expertise in finance and financial technology (FinTech) allows us to partner closely with clients, understanding their unique business and data needs. With a vast selection of datasets covering all asset types, flexible delivery technologies, and tailored scheduling, we empower clients with the precise data they need - when and how they need it. Simply put, our award-winning data powers the capital markets.
Our Data Management Services team (DMS) is an expanding part of Bloomberg's Enterprise Data group. DMS helps Bloomberg data together in a standardized model for easier and more consistent delivery across an organization's consuming systems. The DMS product - Data License Plus (DL+) - is an add-on service for Bloomberg Data License that optimizes daily Bulk and Per Security file onboarding by combining the data into a centralized Unified Data Model (UDM) for controlled data collection and delivery across consuming systems.

● Act as a key point of contact between Product, Engineering, Sustainable Finance content teams, and external vendors to ensure Sustainable Finance data changes are accurately reflected in the product.

● Engage with Bloomberg Product owners on changes to existing content and specifications for new content sets.
● Gather and analyze business requirements from clients and stakeholders.
● Build clear and concise requirements analysis, specifications, and business process documentation.
● Define product requirements and functional specifications through collaboration with multiple partners.
● Work with internal and external teams during client onboarding processes to ensure timely and quality deliverables..
● Deliver new product information and product updates to stakeholders (e.g., sales, marketing, engineering, support teams, and clients).
● Provide support and direction to internal teams in the definition of technical solutions across the product suite.
● Understand the product platform and its components and use it to improve client workflows.
● Develop best practices for existing business patterns and new feature ideas.
● Influence the strategic direction of the product by providing data-driven insights.
● Share and build knowledge within the product team.

You'll need to have:
● Multiple years' experience in finance or the FinTech industry, particularly experience related to reference and pricing data.
● Experience working with Sustainable Finance, sustainability, or non-financial datasets, including data sourced from third-party vendors.
● Knowledge of asset classes like equities, fixed income, derivatives, indices, mortgages and their typical attributes and lifecycles, data used in the securities industry (especially related to reference data), pricing, FX, entity data, research data and OTCs.

We'd love to see:
● Knowledge of securities and trading lifecycle, typical front/middle/back office functions.
● Data modeling experience in the financial services industry.
● Familiarity with vendor-provided Sustainable Finance data and common Sustainable Finance data challenges (e.g., methodology changes, coverage gaps, revisions, and restatements).
● An interest in meeting clients and prospects, learning about the industry and the challenges of implementing DL+, helping our global sales force.
● Demonstrable analytical skills.
● Thought leadership, passion and excitement for the product space.
