Description & Requirements
The company data and analytics team designs and builds company data analytical tools for the Bloomberg Terminal, API and Enterprise. This includes flagship applications on Bloomberg such as: Financial Analysis (FA), Estimates and Models (MODL) and Supply Chain (SPLC).
In today's environment dominated by macroeconomic and geopolitical events, understanding a company's supply chain and physical assets (e.g, factories, mines and refineries) is critical. This role focuses on developing analytical tools to help investors and corporations better understand these exposures. Please note, this position is not focused on managing Bloomberg LP's supply chain but on building tools that allow investors to analyse the supply chain of other companies as well as their physical assets in order to make investment decisions.
The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator, working closely with our engineering groups, data teams and enterprise product teams. You should be comfortable articulating an overall business strategy while confidently engaging with bottom-up technical details.
We will trust you to:
- Engage directly with clients, identify key questions and develop targeted solutions
- Develop a product roadmap and oversee incremental deliveries of your strategic vision, ensuring clear business outcomes
- Effectively manage projects, meet deliverables, and lead the execution of tasks both independently and collaboratively
- Ensure we have the relevant data - with the correct standardisation/aggregation needed to build terminal solutions
- Effectively communicate product vision and build consensus with senior stakeholders
You'll need to have:
- Understanding of Supply Chains and Physical Assets from an investor's perspective
- Experience working with knowledge graphs and relational databases
- Experience developing business strategies, including defining OKRs, analysis of value propositions, and considering channels of delivery
- Evidence of technical fluency - being comfortable discussing technical concepts and experience evaluating trade-offs in design with engineering
- 7+ years of relevant experience
We'd love to see:
- Extensive Product Manager experience bringing complex products to market
- Experience applying AI techniques for data processing and answering client questions
- Experience using a scrum agile process
- A degree/Masters/PhD in STEM subject or Economics/Finance
- Experience working with Software as a Service (SAAS)
- CFA designation
- Project management certification (CAPM, PMP)
