Description & Requirements
Bloomberg delivers critical information in a world where information matters. We give influential decision-makers in business, finance, and government an edge by connecting them to a dynamic network of news, data, and ideas.
As financial markets continue to evolve, firms increasingly rely on automated, high-performance workflows across asset classes, powered by secure and scalable integrations. Bloomberg’s Enterprise Technology team plays a central role in designing, delivering, and supporting the infrastructure that enables these workflows.
What’s the role?
As part of the Enterprise Technology Services group, you will play a key role in owning and improving the reliability of Bloomberg’s client-facing systems in production environments.
This role sits at the center of Bloomberg’s client connectivity ecosystem, supporting mission-critical trading, regulatory, and data workflows for some of the world’s leading financial institutions.
You will partner closely with clients and internal teams to:
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
Identify patterns and prevent future incidents
Improve system resilience and long-term performance
This is a high-impact, client-facing technical role that combines elements of production engineering, systems troubleshooting, and client partnership.
About You
You’re technically curious, enjoy solving complex problems, and are comfortable working in fast-paced, client-facing environments. You take ownership, communicate clearly, and look for ways to improve systems—not just fix them.
You’ll need:
- A recent degree in computer science, engineering or related field or
- 3+ years of experience in technical support, production engineering or a similar role
Experience troubleshooting distributed systems or networked environments
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, connectivity, data flows)
Experience with integration or messaging technologies (e.g., APIs, FIX, MQ, SFTP, or similar)
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
We’d also value:
Exposure to financial services, trading workflows, or regulatory environments
Experience working directly with clients or external stakeholders
Familiarity with data transformation or integration tools (e.g., Informatica, MuleSoft, TIBCO)
Working knowledge of SQL or databases
Why This Role
Work on mission-critical infrastructure powering real-time financial workflows
Gain deep exposure to global financial systems and client integrations at scale
Partner across Engineering, Product, and client teams to influence system design and performance
This is not a traditional helpdesk role—you’ll solve complex, system-level problems in live environments
