The Global Risk and Compliance Shared Services (RCSS) team provides coverage of Bloomberg's regulated entities and products, including support for Bloomberg's non-regulated products and services. We work to address regulatory issues, ensure compliance with current/developing rules and regulations, and correspond with regulators. We are currently enhancing our Controls Testing team, and looking for an experienced person to work with our Head of RCSS Controls Testing.

What's The Role?

As a Controls Testing Officer on our RCSS Controls Testing team, you will collaborate with Risk colleagues and key Legal, Compliance, Audit, and Business partners to deliver a comprehensive controls testing program  The role includes enhancing standards around controls testing activities, including annual planning, development of testing scopes, testing of controls, and reporting of testing results.  Responsibilities also include managing and tracking of issues identified.  You and the RCSS Controls Testing team will be responsible for centralizing, enhancing and globalizing these disciplines, in a manner that builds on the work done by the current Risk Management subject matter experts in each country and region.

We'll Trust You To:

Support the Global Head RCSS, the global Chief Compliance Officer, the global Chief Risk Officer, and Bloomberg’s business by:

-Being a global thought-leader and team player on the subject of controls testing

-Enhancing standards and risk management best practices around controls testing, including via use of tools, automation and artificial intelligence

-Coordinating or conducting relevant controls testing on a risk-focused basis

-Managing stakeholders throughout the testing lifecycle

-Presenting directly to senior management on the results of the above efforts

-Managing ad hoc assignments as directed by the Head of RCSS Controls Testing.

You’ll Need To Have:

-Minimum 10+ years of experience in Compliance, Audit and/or Risk Management, with experience in regulated financial institutions or technology companies

-Expertise in risk assurance / controls testing and associated control remediation

-Understanding of regulatory and operational risk management, internal controls, and root cause analysis

-Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, build and maintain a network of contacts, and coordinate with multiple partners across our company

-Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and effective under pressure

-The ability to work creatively and efficiently, to assist with building a program that’s deeply practical, risk-focused, and conscious of business and control partners’ needs

-Strong team player skills in order to guide organizational change and collaborate with key partners across various levels

We'd love to see:

-Familiarity with financial markets and products, including electronic trading platforms and operations

-Experience with data governance, data management and data quality

-Experience automating control testing regimes, including via advanced analytics and artificial intelligence

-Experience designing and implementing key control indicators

-Experience using QSEN or other dashboards to monitor risk and controls
