The Team:
The Data Strategy & Transformation team leads tech transformation and data management best practices guidance across the Securities group covering Fixed Income/Credit, Sanctions, Regulation, Mortgages, Foreign Exchange (FX), Listed Derivatives and Corporate Actions data products.
- Advise on a comprehensive and outcome driven data strategy for either: Private Credit/Loans or Exotic Derivatives in line with market trends
- Collaborate with Data Product Owners to build project plans which incorporate Product, Enterprise and Risk objectives and taking into account both buy and sell side clients needs.
- Collaborate with issuers, exchanges, private banks and internal teams to understand ingestions methods, validation rules and downstream data usage patterns (e.g: Enterprise Bulk Data Products; BPIPE; TOMS; AIM; DLIB etc)
- Coordinate business requirements of senior stakeholders across various Bloomberg verticals to develop data models that seamlessly support both Bloomberg Terminal and Enterprise Bulk Data Products like BPIPE; TOMS; AIM; DLIB etc
- Understand and identify opportunities for business expansion/new product onboarding and additional items to be included in the business planning, in alignment with Data Product Owners.
- Monitor, analyze, and collaborate on regulatory developments while ensuring that the business/product is meeting its regulatory obligations
- 8+ years of experience in the financial services industry - from either Issuance, Middle Office, Platform, Risk Management Consultancy, market data providers or financial technology institutions
- Knowledge of the characteristics that define one of more asset classes - Private Credit/Loans or Exotic Derivatives
- Practical experience or knowledge of data validation or data reconciliation processes of Private Credit/Loans or Exotic Derivatives
- Strong understanding of financial product cycle: from issuance to pricing, risk, bookings, to settlement, to regulations
- Good understanding of financial data modeling or data governance
- Extensive experience in communicating and coordinating with internal and external partners while leading large-scale projects
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and adapt to tasks accordingly with a customer focused mentality
- Strong understanding of data management cycle and ability to discuss them with stakeholders from Engineering to Product
- Experience or familiarity with system architecture - tracking the flow of data through a large and heterogeneous system
- Masters, DAMA CDMP or DCAM certifications
