  • New Product Builds: Design and build new workflows that enhance the portfolio management experience for Chief Investment Officers and senior Portfolio Managers.
  • Portfolio Insights and Automation: Design and build scalable, API-first capabilities that deliver real-time portfolio insights, automate portfolio management workflows, and help investment professionals identify, prioritize, and act on portfolio events efficiently.
  • Cross-System Integration: Collaborate closely with teams across Bloomberg’s Buy-Side product suite to deliver joined-up workflows that span multiple applications and services.
  • Scale and Performance: Build scalable systems that aggregate and process portfolio data across large, complex client portfolios, ensuring responsive and reliable user experiences.
  • Observability: Implement advanced monitoring and analytics to optimise user experience and address performance bottlenecks effectively.
  • Maintenance and Stability: Contribute to ongoing codebase improvements, ensuring compliance with the latest standards and enhancing engineering-driven quality initiatives.

You Will Need to Have:

  • Experience in TypeScript, JavaScript and/or Python
  • Interest in Client-Facing Workflows: A passion for crafting user-centric solutions within a product-oriented team environment.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with product, UX and engineering teams
  • A pragmatic approach to solving complex technical and product problems

We Would Love to See:

  • React Experience: Familiarity with React will accelerate your contributions to our front-end development efforts.
  • Experience with Python back-end services, APIs or data processing workflows
  • Interest in Financial Workflows: Curiosity about financial workflows is advantageous, though prior experience is not necessary.
  • Interest in UX: Enthusiasm for user experience best practices and a willingness to collaborate with UX specialists to deliver engaging interfaces.
  • Experience building scalable, observable and maintainable systems
  • Ability to work across team boundaries and drive alignment on complex, cross-product initiatives
