Bloomberg clients rely on accurate, comprehensive company financial data to understand markets, spot opportunities, and make big decisions. The Company Financials (COFI) Data Workflow team within our Engineering department powers this data - delivering standardized, enriched company information that fuels the Bloomberg Terminal, Enterprise products, and core Equity workflows.
We acquire financial documents from global markets, extract and enrich millions of data points, and combine heuristic and AI/ML-based solutions to classify and enhance company metrics. Our intuitive web tools empower analysts to complement automation with human insight - making financial data more transparent, discoverable, and actionable.

As COFI continues to expand its reach, the APAC region is being proven to be the world’s fastest-growing markets. The COFI Data Workflow team in Pune will be a core engineering hub, not a satellite extension. You’ll work closely with our US teams, but also own the vision and execution for the APAC region - a market filled with complexity, diversity, and rapid growth.
Here’s what makes this role unique:
- Regional impact: You’ll collaborate directly with more than 100+ Data Analysts across APAC (Mumbai, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, etc), shaping how Bloomberg’s company financial data is captured, processed, and enriched for the region
- Vendor leadership: With over 3,000+ data processing vendors in APAC, you’ll help design, scale, and optimize the tools and workflows they use every day - including through direct site visits and hands-on collaboration
- End-to-end ownership: You’ll be part of the entire product lifecycle - from understanding market nuances and analyst needs, to designing scalable systems and ensuring operational excellence

What You’ll Do
- Design and build high-performance, scalable platforms and vendor workflows that power Bloomberg’s next-generation financial data systems
- Prototype and experiment to find the most elegant, user-centric, and efficient solutions
- Collaborate with Product, Data, and Engineering counterparts globally to define and deliver the right applications for our clients
- Lead by example - taking ownership, mentoring team, and driving technical excellence
We’ll trust you to:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership
- Drive the design and evolution of scalable systems that power company financial data workflows
- Partner with Product, Data, and global COFI teams to execute the strategic roadmap
- Collaborate with US counterparts while empowering regional autonomy in APAC
- Build strong relationships with APAC data analysts and vendors to design effective workflows
You’ll need to have:
- Track record of leadership, managing and coaching teams and influencing technology strategy
- Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, fault-tolerant systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in complex environments
- Experience driving projects from concept to delivery with clear priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to foster inclusive, collaborative team cultures that promote ownership and learning
We’d love to see:
- Experience leading or technically guiding data or workflow-intensive teams
- Familiarity with financial data processing, data pipelines, or ETL systems
- Experience scaling systems supporting large internal users or vendor networks
