We're looking for an ambitious and enterprising reporter to join Bloomberg's Global Business team in Milan.

This reporter will cover key sectors of Italian business, ranging from the automotive industry and industrials to consumer goods, luxury and pharma. It's a great opportunity to break news on some of Italy's biggest companies and iconic brands, including the likes of Ferrari, Prada, Armani, EssilorLuxottica, Pirelli and Ferrero.

We're looking for someone who can break news, generate exclusives and scoops and tell compelling stories about the personalities and forces that are reshaping Italian business at a time of global disruption. The ideal candidate will be adept at building sources within the C-suite as well as labor unions, while working with colleagues to connect the dots between Italian business and government. They will have an understanding of earnings statements and balance sheets, and will be able to wade through complex filings to unearth stories buried in the footnotes.

We'll trust you to:

• Break news and produce deeply reported enterprise stories
• Identify key trends within Italian companies and industries
• Cultivate senior sources across a diverse range of companies
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative newsroom environment

You'll need to have:

• At least five years of experience in journalism, preferably in financial and business reporting
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Italian
• Strong writing skills and sound news judgment

We'd love to see:

• A desire to produce multi-media stories
• Comfort reading company financial statements

Salary Range = €60,000 - €75,000 per annum + Benefits

Bonus Range = €4,000 - €5,000

The referenced salary and bonus range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
