What’s the role?  

The Resilience and Continuity team is responsible for the design and delivery of Bloomberg's Business Continuity Management (BCM) program which supports the Firm’s ability to continue operating effectively in the event of business disruptions. The team is part of the Bloomberg Security Operations department that oversees physical security, safety, enterprise resilience and business continuity.  

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with business areas across Bloomberg and will operate as a part of a global team of business continuity experts working to ensure Bloomberg is prepared and ready to manage business disruptions effectively. As a Resilience and Continuity Lead for the APAC region, you will focus on building preparedness within APAC – embedding the global program and providing expertise on business continuity and operational resilience regulations.  

We’ll trust you to:  

• Drive the Global BCM program’s implementation in the APAC region - maintaining strong relationships with regional business leaders and gaining an understanding of their business’ evolving resilience and continuity needs. 
• Lead on the Global BCM program’s identification and insight to stakeholders on emerging regulatory requirements  
• Lead on the BC program's development and execution of BC testing and exercising efforts within the APAC region  
• Lead on the identification, adoption, and implementation of industry best practice from across business continuity and operational resilience topics  
• Support the business in the development and regular review of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and recovery strategy documentation.  
• Collaborate consistently with SMEs in Operational Resilience, Engineering, the Chief Risk Office, Legal and Compliance, and other domains to build familiarity on enterprise-wide strategic objectives and resilience requirements.  
• Consult on, design and implement enhancements to our BC management system to better enable the delivery of resilience and continuity priorities.  
• Collaborate with various internal support and operations teams to identify and assess threats and risks that have the potential to escalate to operational impacting incidents.  

You'll need to have:  

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity management, crisis/incident management and/or enterprise governance, risk and compliance.  
• Experience in coordinating and delivering testing and exercising for business continuity and/or operational resilience purposes.  
• Strong understanding of APAC financial systems regulations and regimes.  
• Prior work experience in a large organization implementing global standards, policies and procedures.  
• Highly developed relationship management and partnership skills.  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.  
• Strong project management, problem solving, and facilitation skills.  
• Proven track record of leading projects involving cross-functional teams.  

We’d love to see:  

• Experience in drafting responses to requests for information from assessors and regulators on a timely and satisfactory manner.  
• Knowledge of the operational and technical infrastructure of financial firms and the financial markets.
