Our Team:
The Global Securitized Products Data Team is responsible for researching and supporting a $12 trillion global securitized product market. This team is specifically responsible for supporting APAC securitized product markets including Australia, China, Japan, and other growing and emerging markets across the region. They are responsible for the full stack of work involved in handling these asset sectors, including new issuance and bond data, collateral performance data, periodic reconciliation, customer support, vendor collaboration, and client engagement, while partnering closely with global cashflow modeling teams based in London and the US. The team also supports US Agency client activity and trading inquiries across APAC market hours.
The Role:
As a Team Leader you will be responsible for leading, empowering and developing a hard-working team of data analysts and data management professionals while contributing directly to workflow execution and client support. You will lead by demonstrating strong market knowledge across securitized products data workflows while helping the team support a broad and evolving APAC market structure. Using your leadership and problem-solving skills, you will also be responsible for developing data offerings by applying data management best practices while ensuring consistency of standards and collaborating with others to deliver accurate and timely financial data across APAC securitized product markets. The team leader will also be tasked with finding opportunities to modernize workflows through automation and scalable operational processes. You will work closely with Sales, Market Specialists, Product, Engineering, vendors, and global counterparts across the US and EMEA to support client needs and create business opportunities.
We'll trust you to:
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of securitized products experts, driving excellence in time-sensitive high-quality data processing, financial analysis, project management, and client support
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Market Specialists, and external clients to support market activity and enhance the client experience across APAC trading hours
- Liaise and collaborate with teams such as Engineering and Product to help develop and improve product databases, workflow tooling, and operational scalability
- Collaborate with global counterparts to evolve workflows and operating procedures to ensure consistency in data quality and timeliness across regions
- Build strong relationships with issuers, trustees, vendors, and other market participants to continuously strengthen Bloomberg’s securitized product data offerings
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through workflow optimization, automation, and emerging technologies
You'll need to have:
- Proven leadership experience in a fast-paced financial data environment
- Ability to align your team's goals around providing outstanding service to business and other internal/external clients inline with the global securitized products data strategy
- Excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to clearly communicate business needs and advocate on behalf of your team
- Proven ability to build credibility and influence across internal and external stakeholders, with a track record of collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Analytics, and Sales
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to improve workflows and operational processes
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple priorities and projects
- Track record of driving strategies, handling sophisticated projects, and influencing operational or organizational change
- Working knowledge of technologies (Python, Unix, Github, data visualization tools)
- Experience working with workflow automation, data transformation, or AI-enabled operational processes
- Interest in leveraging technology and automation to improve scalability and efficiency
- Knowledge in the financial market
- Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
