How do you build data systems that power billions of financial decisions every day?
At Bloomberg, our Data Management Professionals leverage programming, data modeling and statistical techniques to transform raw market information into high-quality, structured datasets used by clients around the world.
Women in Data is a three-day immersive experience tailored for university students keen to explore careers at the intersection of data, finance and technology. You’ll gain direct insight into how our Data teams work to acquire, process and standardise the vast amounts of market data delivered to our clients.
What to Expect
Over the course of the programme, you will:
Connect with business leaders and recruiters to learn about the Data department and its ever-evolving role at Bloomberg
Gain mentorship and career guidance from Bloomberg’s Women in Tech Community
Participate in technical and behavioral interview preparation as you launch your career in data
Strengthen your professional and interpersonal skills through networking and development activities
Learn about the positive impact Bloomberg makes around the world through Bloomberg Philanthropies
Program Requirements*
Currently enrolled at university with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and June 2028**
Willingness to commit to biweekly 1-hour virtual mentoring sessions between July and September
Must be available to attend the full three-day, in-person programme (9-11 Sept)
*While this event highlights the experiences of women in data, all eligible students are welcome to apply.
**Priority will be given to students pursuing a bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computational Finance or any other STEM-related field.
